It's heading into the end of our Australian Football season and with me heavily involved with the AFL at junior level it means less time spent here or anywhere for that matter until websites are work details and match and final details are done and kids resume's for their draft camps are done and dusted so I won't be around much until after the end of september..this is the part where art doesn't imitate life and i just need time to get things done and hopefully see a few of these guys end up with a professional football career.

As you all might be aware the Chat room is up and running now and is a welcome edition to the new Neopoet site. As a feature of the site it also must have its administration and moderators and hosts. For now the new chat committee are in place to oversee that the Neo Chat will become an intergral part of the site.

Your commitee consists of :

Paul - one of the trustee's of the site and Chat Director
Moonman - Rich who will be invaluable to the running of the chat
CCfire - Chez (me) who Paul has enlisted to also help in this aim

A contest and competition for the endangered lions is on facebook..I'd hope someone would take up some interest in submitting some poetry for this endangered species and the work to save them

Just letting all know I am off on vacation to California until the 21st May but I am taking my laptop so will pop in from time to time..Just saying have fun while I am away as I know I will and I will look forward to catching up on you all when I can tear myself away from the pool :)

I don't know why it's happening but some of my comments are posting twice for no apparent reason? Is anyone else having this problem? I don't push submit twice so...why??

I was thinking that as we're a 'family' of poets it might be nice to have a few people leave information about Open Mic's in their area or ones they know of at least. I know I am always hunting them out even if I don't get up I like to listen to new poets and their material. Thought it may be beneficial to anyone curious to go along in their area.

It's refreshing to see a new community of poets online and this will be a interesting journey with new people, new poetry and some old friends.
