Od[ious][e] to Obscenity:

Is it not basic right to be obscene
Not a reversion to a cursing teen
And certainly not a foul mouth has-been
Rather a bleeping lean and mean machine

Need a damn Obscene Spelling Bee sorely
With no age limit for the constituents
That’s one hell of an idea surely
To enhance the profanity quotients

No need to be a monastic sourpuss
There is really nothing to discuss
Do not understand the self-righteous fuss
Just let go the inhibitions and cuss

Hi Rhyku,

This was an interesting read.

Especially loved this line - "No need to be a monastic sourpuss" - I know a few that would say otherwise in peak hour traffic around here LOL.

The freedom to swear like a trooper or so the saying goes - nice idea huh, certainly know a few individuals who think already applies to them and them only lol.

All in all - I loved the rhyme aspect in this piece - for me rhyme always makes or breaks the flow of reading and yours.......well you hit the nail on the head here.

Truly enjoyed this one.

thank you for sharing

thanks for your kind comments.

This poem was my humorous corollary to my previous Blog entry "Perverse Verse Averse"' .

That's one hell of a gracious response considering that you were batting for the opposing team. Thanks for your review - I appreciate it greatly.
