Jealousy can make the insecure crazy
They treat the one they love with contempt
Jealousy turn good people to savages
When they beat the one they love to death

Jealousy can turn love to hate in the heart
Of the one they claim to love
Jealousy can be rotten to the bone
Nothing good can come from it

Jealousy can you endure?
Some find the strength to leave
Jealousy the green eyed monster
Will make you black and blue

Jealousy can you survive?
Some could not were stalked and slain
Jealousy where did you come from?
How did you come to exist?

I do not know from where you start
But from here you must depart

I want the raw truth, feel free to knock me on my back

Fear

Fear of losing the one you love. Anger at whatever may take it away. Hate the acctions you take to express your jealousy pushes the one you love away for does he/ she not love you yet never hate? Those who hate tend to end up with others who hate and here is a good part of out world.

Very good - great subject Barbara !
Outstanding write !

Yes I liked this

You tackled the theme really well. Jealousy can make folk do crazy things. I can think of several people slain by the ‘green eyed monster’. I really like these lines…

Jealously a green eyed monster
Will make you black and blue
Jealously can you survive?
Some did not were stalked and slain

Excellent, I really enjoyed reading this.

Effective.

Be careful of using jealously vs jealousy, that really needs editing.
love-
Jealously a green eyed monster
Will make you black and blue
you turn a cliche into strong imagery.

Barbara,

Jealousy very scary to watch it at work.
Where does it come from, the first instance
of it is in the bible, the jealousy Satan had
for God and his power, He wanted Gods worship
that was coming from man. that’s why all of this
is going on. If we believe that?
Good write,

thanks,
Eddie

I am glad you took the read this, your comment is exactly the answer i intend in the last part and yes I am aware Jealousy started with Satan wanting worship that did not belong to him and now his influence has cause much turmoil in the earth. Not that the devil made me do anything attitude because we have free will to do or not to do.

Ever seen babies playing with bright objects?

One will see something the other has got and try to take it. I think jealousy starts way before God and Satan. Oh, and just to set the record straight, it was God who was jealous of Satan cos Satan was waaay cuter.

Jess

God created a beautiful angel who turn ugly with jealousy, he too had free will.
they were not babies in a sand box ideology. one the father (The God) the other a son (an angel).
Satan became his own god was not created that way.

Well, that's your version of the story,

I heard different, from the source, you only got mouldy old 6th hand texts and religion.

Jealousy can kill

not only the soul, the love, but also the body. Recent case in point in Houston. Man killed his girlfriend because she was breaking up with him. Cut her up and burned her remains on a barbeque pit. I relate to this as my first wife AFTER running off with my best friend, caught me on a date one night and went beserk. I find it very strange. If you cannot trust the one you love then I say move on because it isn’t worth it. Well written Barbara. Well done indeed.

Sad indeed

Thanks, I appreciate the comment and the related case, girl must be careful who they talk to and date. Never know what people are hiding behind those smiles.
