Lost Love

By: Alex Tanner

Should I recall those blissful times
When we like climbing flowers entwined;
Our blossoms scented evenings air
As Love and Lust forsook our cares.

Your laugh was soft and gentle,
A butterflies wings in spring,
Dancing on the sunbeams
Enough to make me sing.

Eyes so bright they sparkled
Diamonds on moonlit snow;
Flashing hither and thither
To make my pulse race so.

We held each other gentle
Yet tight so not to break,
Though deep, our love could never last,
Different paths our lives would take.

For fleeting months we tarried,
Each time we met we knew
This may be the last time
For lovers hours are few.

If I love ten thousand women
Tis you I will recall;
You gave yourself so willing,
For your passion I did fall.

On black nights as the wind howls,
As I lie in a bed so cold,
Your soft voice echoes 'cross the years
To warm my lonely soul.

Begone

the party's over.
it was quite a show
but now it's time
for all to go.

but there'll always be
some who resist
the only advise
I have is this:

start howling
"Zarathustra"
or "Finnigan's wake",
or a political diatribe
from the daily fakes

as for the lingering hardcore
I guarantee they'll flee
just by quoting the "Bible".
take it from me

DEVORCE 2

little does she know that she will have to choose
,when her parents get devorced which one she will lose
and little does she know that the alcohol she drinks
is the one thing that will put her on the brink...

Holland- Amsterdam, 1968

Lying in our sleeping bag in the great student hall
The Thief of Bagdad was playing on the wall
We had found the long-haired tribe of youth-
Europe on $5 a day, and counter-culture truth.

How we spoke of love in common speech
Of acoustic guitars and pipes of hashish.
O we would alter the course of history
Which has made the world bare of dreams!

O so tolerant the Dutch, in their formal ways
To smile upon us in those errant days
Indifferent to the drum beats in the parks
They let the hippies do their dance in the dark-

College Girl Nympho

Oh the virgins ravenous vault
college girl nympho
a seething abashment
with mixed loyalties
who belongs to no one
ferocious for annihilation
cum blast
poured out from essence
spread shanks
wet spot
hot shots
meditative and gleaming

huge hearted
she is one and many
choking on desire
far flung in Turkish bath fantasies
a singing cunt tearing heaps of suns
like burns and spatters
her ass, a high pitched note
his cock, rage at bay
poised hot scum fuck
gasping fire

Impressions

Lady In Red

hot blooded
swirls and whirls
snippy snaps
piss and vinegar

Lady In Blue

aloof and cool
smooth and demure
wooing coos
cotton candy liqueur

Lady In Beige

meek and mild
nonplussed and unfazed
a smile is reply
warm caramel glaze

Lady In Pink

hot to trot
Marilyn's daze
wispy sighs
a sparkling flambe

Lady In White

prim and proper
regal and stately
bright and refined
a dainty French pastry

Lady In Black

Surrogate Eyes [Sunku]

rocky
mountains are
mysterious

silence
is their call
in the valley

breathless
I've become
their only eyes

Ode to Halloween

the morning and green lights
a world full of hope
like barefeet and flowers
like bubbles and soap
the sky is so often
such a clear shade of blue
removing all distance
between love's gift and you
but sometimes the world
brings black fear with it, too

scary serpents and shadows
that glide in the night
bulging bee stings and bullies
who start unwanted fights
pillaging pirates
who take what they want
discouraging devils
who tease and who taunt

GOLEM...sexual content

a knuckled skull
with no where to go
made of mud and blood
took a needle to sew

made her
during a blood moon
her parts for pleasure
some one to spoon

did it in shadows
so angels couldn't see
fashioned detritus
scraped a dead tree

gave her toes
and a small chin
played a samba
and shaped her thin

after i wove her
from spiritous mist
she called me god
i did insist

i wanted her sexy
incantations and scum
danced the who-la
resurrection did come

Flashes

whoa! I just figured it out

I know why you think I'm unhappy
...it's because I'm never happy when you're around

funny, how that works!
..........................................

have you ever thought, when trying to fall asleep,
"I should count some sheep?"

Happy Darkest Halloween Tonight

Halloween or not
Ghosts at times
make a plot
to come upon weaker minds
and dance about just to shine

if you go to the loo
at night
in utter darkness
switch on no lights

then when you return
to your bedroom
you will see
layers upon layers of bed-sheets
and
bedding
ghosts you feel

but when you see a distant bulb glowing
you accept all was simple hallucination

ghosts exist still
for feeble minds only
but they do
if you also wish them to
