Lost Love

By: Alex Tanner

Should I recall those blissful times
When we like climbing flowers entwined;
Our blossoms scented evenings air
As Love and Lust forsook our cares.

Your laugh was soft and gentle,
A butterflies wings in spring,
Dancing on the sunbeams
Enough to make me sing.

Eyes so bright they sparkled
Diamonds on moonlit snow;
Flashing hither and thither
To make my pulse race so.

We held each other gentle
Yet tight so not to break,
Though deep, our love could never last,
Different paths our lives would take.

For fleeting months we tarried,
Each time we met we knew
This may be the last time
For lovers hours are few.

If I love ten thousand women
Tis you I will recall;
You gave yourself so willing,
For your passion I did fall.

On black nights as the wind howls,
As I lie in a bed so cold,
Your soft voice echoes 'cross the years
To warm my lonely soul.

Under A Cloud Cover

Under a cloud cover
no one saw me change
into light cotton whites.

The cloud turned grey
me bright
soon I started dancing
in the rain.

My spirits were lifted
like the cloud
losing my shroud
without regrets
washed in sunshine.

NEO TWINS Holding Hands Still

we two have seen
and been
here together since eons
all neopoets by now know
me small bard and critic Ian
are non congenital twins
of poetry
let us begin and regrin

just tell me how many read me
no damn comments are needed

I have surfed far too long
in turbulent wavy oceans
none can be braver
in more sterner commotions

like being kicked around
as a football
a machine gun poet
I was

I Love "Jess" Weirdelf Helps Me Write"

I Love "Jess" Weirdelf Helps Me Write"

Poetry is in my veins give me a chance to explain,
Although (Jess) Weirdelf remarks in the context of reason
I'm appreciative to his remarks it gives me a reason to believe
take a hold of yesterdays news a given chance to sing the blues
look deep longer in the peak with words suffice another chance to roll the dice
together we can clear up the false facts a reason to over react,

Liquid Feelings

I swim in my emotions
Keeping against the current,
Pushing me down
Constantly crashing into the waves
Of my self- conscious
As many times as it rains, nothing washes away,
Slowly blends with the rest of these liquid feelings
Slushing through me.
I am a river.
Destined to the ocean.

REVENEANT

i am much younger than i am
my hair is dark and thick
instead of pruned bald
i am lean and meek
feeling hollow
as if weightless

we are at an airport
with no memory of getting there
i had left my hotel room urgently
in a jacket that is not mine
i can't find my Swedish wife
whom i miss like a panicked child
and my Asian wife whom i've never never met before
and know all to well
is angry
and could care less if i got lost forever

Zac

Danced into my life
With your demons close behind
They dont dance you proclaimed
Our small talk was big
Our big talk insane

BUT demons do dance
they danced you away
I'm left here to stay

Love your woman

Good I have spent my whole life
with one only
wouldn't like to take a chance with another

some like to change women
like does a five star hotel visitor
but men and women are of all kinds....

some cynic
some beautiful
some crank
some intelligent

But what is a woman
who does not know love
or can't let you in above
to let you see her soul from within

The girl

The girl from the Meterainian
Smelled like yesterday

It wasnt the nature of the intelligence agencies
To move lines on the map
Yet China asked for the rights

Diplomats were dispatched from across the globe.

The man screemed dont worry
Because mine is constant.

Earthly Bliss

To have a heart that is tied up in knots
when their are a dozen of pots
in your sink;
Can't even think
to dismiss this Earthly bliss
in a time well spent in thought.
Yet the Spirit brings life & peace.

A heart saturated with unconditional love
shall withstand the true test in time!
Words have an effect on people
so choose words of edification.
Smile 'cause it's contagious
so pass yours on.

Wore Your Grace Like a Charm

The day that shame was invented
A paradise was lost
A universe separating lovers
Made of black holes and dead stardust

Floating untethered
In the dark
We lost our only true spark

The day that shame was invented
Love wrapped us in its arms
Although remorse made me naked
I wore your grace like a charm

Caught by your
Forgiving hand
And given back to the land
