Random Scatterlings...
Just some general rambling here folks, no real information to present, or pretty links to look at, just a general observation. Since there isn't a real specific 'group' to post this in, I chose this one. BIG, you're more than welcome to delete this - just words on a page:
Right now, we're worrying about resources and our future. We're worrying about if the oil runs out, if the electricity goes away, if, if, if... how will I survive? I'm thinking to a time when this was never an issue. A time before electricity, cars, and industry - families fended for themselves. If a tornado blew away their home, they moved, and built a new one. If they were hungry, they'd go out to their garden and pick out something. If they were bored, they'd go make makeshift toys, or go swimming.
Sadly, we've DEvolved into beings that are dependant on non "natural" things. If we were stranded in the woods, a good deal of us would starve - because we couldn't kill a rabbit, properly clean it, and be able to start a fire and cook it without a Zippo. There was a world BEFORE technology, but in my (very) humble opinion, I think we've become so dependent, we would never be able to return BACK to that world. Not to mention; everything, EVERYTHING is based off of technology. It would pretty well be impossible to go back now.
This is why I am extremely grateful to BIG, and James, and everyone who is trying to make people more aware that they need to start becoming a little more self-sufficient. This whole technology thing is going to blow up in our face some day, and it's important to realise that those who are gonna survive are going to be the ones who can support themselves entirely without any (or little to no) means of technology.
I'll go back onto my page now, and return this page to the pros. Thanks for listening...
