Finding Celest

By: Mark

Friendly words become songs for life

when we tell our stories each day,

and even give up our hearts,

grasping, learning – never to part.

Lyrics never waited at the gate of notes

from where melodies raced

making our harmony graced

as we danced until dizzy when laughter faded

into passionate rhythm and embraces.

Dancing rain and rolling thunder

had churned the depths of our souls.

We felt our breath move across our faces

and whisper echoes that love had sown.

Trust is a secret that never comes home.

A Ghostly Voyage

By: RoseBlack

Skies of slate, fog seeping in,

wrapping around lonely branches in veils of sadness.

An owl's screech heard in the distance.

Followed by a gentle beat, a break in the madness.

Barefoot and alone, stepping silently

through my wooded prison,

following the notes as they echoed,

caressing the new found freedom that has risen.

The ship stood waiting, a site to behold.

Black flag beckoning in the breeze, calling me home.

The sea rocked in rhythm as the sound grew louder,

when suddenly he appeared; my heart did shudder.

His eyes were translucent but he saw me just the same.

A ghostly hand reached out, grabbing me, taking the lead.

"Come quickly," he whispered as they went aboard.

"We're so glad you came."
