“Drain the last drop,’ she said to him, ‘Then place a kiss upon my skin. Kiss my lips and dine on me. Leave your mark, your sign on me.I’ll love you untill the moon meets the sun. Then I’ll swear my love again when the end has begun. My love will not die upon my death ,but fly forever on the wings of my last breath.Remember,’ she said, ‘Though you leave me now, to return to me no matter how. Speak through dreams or straight to the heart. For even in death ,we shall never part.So take your fill, fill your veins. And think of this moment whenever it rains.’

Wow Lacy Love Death and Rain
you had me there right at the title.Kudos for using the Paragraph form for this.
In ink,
Dabbler
soft silky slip of kiss
and this rain falls
in memory forever
shiver as you press closer
leaning back to take your fill
slaking that tired thirst
that hunger that dwells
behind each canine smile
moon fills you with dashing
illusion
…
uhh Yah I love your poem
got carried away just writing
here
Whisper
Evokes images of a lover’s promise in a whisper. The quotation marks add to the voice; give it an undeniable reality.
Your choice to present this piece as a paragraph was a good one.
Thank you all
…for your wonderful comments. This one is one of my favorites.I had thought of publishing my own book of poetry, but first I have to master it,lol. This was to be the title’Love,Death, and Rain;A Poets Journey’.What do you think?
Lacy,
Where power corrupts,poetry cleanses.
