Mum... You and I

By: Rula

Together we witnessed time ebbs and tides:

we went through ups, we went through downs,

yet luckily we got each other's sides,

you and I, you and I.

Together, unwillingly, we grew old,

with devestating wrinkles, and white hair.

We both raised families, yet we're still bold

You and I, you and I.

Together we laughed, together we cried:

I uplifted your spirits, you got my tears wiped,

we stayed together, side by side,

You and, I you and I.

Together we lived for worse and better,

until Alzheimer's stole you, my bank of love,

although you promised to stay forever

You and I, you and I.

My Gold

By Mr joghe

In whom I spent my old days and nights,

Who rocked me in my cradle;

And fed my pretty mouth with a spoon,

Did weep while I should weep.

How much will I pay

For the pain you’ve taken for me?

Who worked that jumper to keep me warm;

Treated me with diffidence and respect,

Her healthy arms always be my stay,

And always admired my prudent face that filled with laughter.

How much will I pay

For the pains you’ve taken for me?

Who tired me with apology for being tiresome,

And asked twenty questions and never waited for an answer.

My timidity struck her at the first sight;

When she taught me to expect something extraordinary.

How much will I pay

For the pains you’ve taken for me?

I find such a pleasure

In obeying her commands,

That I take care to observe;

Shall soon come to bless me.

How much will I pay

For the pains you’ve taken for me?

I vow, I thought so;

Never, as among queens and princesses

In her age; to be explicit,

I’ve kept very little company

In pretty smooth dialogues with her.

How much will I pay

For the pains you’ve taken for me?

~ Meadow of Yore~

I was captured by your sha
Chained by your magick
Imprisoned
Your soul holds me fast
I cannot escape ~

Once,
I was so alone
Fire consumed me
as She sought me out
Dragons summoned me ~

I was called up upon the wind
My name echoed through the ages
My spirit melted into flesh
My psyche
became a sharpened sword ~

Her voice whispered,
memories into my heart
Her smell shocked
my brain with power
I seen her face
upon the ancient shore ~

BY AND BY

Though you are now gone
loving memories shall keep you near
Until I see you once again
in another tomorrows by and by

Winter

The golden summer
came and went,
the autumn leaves
now mostly spent,

Gather deep before the cold,
while Jack-frost waits
till autumns sold,

The naked trees
point to the sun,
clothes scattered
on their beds for fun

they stand embarrassed
in light of day,
reaching for the sky
as if to pray

All living creatures
that would abound,
now rarely seen
on this frozen ground,

Lobster Boats

Lobster boats at anchor sway
To the rhythm of the tidal swell.
Waiting for another work day
Lobster boats at anchor sway.
Dancing on the surging bay
To the sound of a plaintive bell.
Lobster boats at anchor sway
To the rhythm of the tidal swell.

Distant (constructive feedback ws) Updated

Distant

when it began
I do not know
signs were there
they'd failed to show

road you traveled
full of holes
soul washed up
on rocky shoals

lack of feeling
in dead eyes
which speak to me
implicit lies

no longer caring
you confess
the draining of
all tenderness

you have become
a promise broken
leaving behind
a tale unspoken

Scar-casam

I'm a man with simple tastes for dynamite, gasoline and knife

Knife shows who people really are in their last moments….. you see,  it… uh, It lets you learn.

Guns aren’t that clean. So, I am not that much into guns.

I am your only entertainment who expects mayhem as returns

I set fire to everything but I don’t do it for stunts

I am amidst a social experiment to prove “everything burns!”

Schemes you made to endless state

backed with the vision to illustrate.

TWILIGHT

Phosphorus
blade
churn the toilsome task

the jet king lay with broken backs
our enemy will feel our racks
sleek filled with bombs
and piloted by pretty blondes

the twilight time has thus
arrived and dwindled down
mans perfect tribe
our archive war machines
we trust will keep our
foes in blood and rust

LATE NIGHT LULLABY

Awakened on a late spring night.
Unsure by what, it doesn't matter.
Perhaps a stab of full moon's light
caused my peaceful sleep to shatter.

Well past midnight says the clock
which slowly tics my life away.
The open window fails to block
sounds unheard in light of day.

From the pond a frog's base burps
echo from the far side's ridge
where the peepers' cry usurps
a far train's passage on a bridge.

opee nee yawn!

What's this about opinion?
Just some exclusive right of people to say their idiotic
Believe their moronic
accept their own views
Denying the need of a more enlightened clarification.

A Hill With No Name

A puff of dust,
A slight slow breeze,
My foeman steps beneath the weeping trees,

A whispered word,
A lovers touch,
She lied to me about much,

Her body was sweet,
Her lips were red,
Today her poison kiss leaves one man dead,

He stops and turns,
He meets my eyes,
This man who took my lying wife,

He brushes back his duster,
He slips his hammer strap,
His actions have led him into my trap,

He dips his hand,
He draws his steel,
But my equalizer is poised for the kill,
