Poetry App

Forums:

If there was an app that had all the aspects of poetry, the poetry experience, and community, What would it have?

There actually are apps for poetry ... "poetry applications"
on google brought up several choices, none of which I would
really want to place on my computer, this one seemed the
least suspect (most of the others were apps offered on poetry
sites, which you may or may not trust);

if there was a Neopoet app for Android and Iphone. Andrew does all the programming here, is anyone an experienced app builder prepared to volunteer their services?
The site is a bit hard to read and navigate on a small screen.
Neopoet is all any poet needs to grow as a poet.
Promotion and publishing we can help with but it is not our main focus.

I am actually in the middle of learning UX (User Experience) Design through a course. I'm thinking that could be a future design project.

was to somehow create an app that would combine a thesaurus with a rhyming dictionary.
You put in the meaning you want and the rhyme you want and voila!
What do you think, T.? Is that possible?

Probably, I think almost anything could be possible with technology, it's only a question of when.

I have done so many I can't remember if I've done any of yours. Are there any you would like to hear read? It's not an ego thing, it's a valuable feedback tool, hearing your work in another's voice and interpretation. And once uploaded to SoundCloud or Vocaroo they can be shared on Neopoet or any social media.

Would you like to help with the Neopoet Audio program? Chris (vandiemenspeak) runs it, we both do readings. We would love help with readings but most especially someone who could help explain to poets (who are notorious technophobes) how to do their own readings on laptop, phone or desktop-with-headset, enhance the sound with Audacity or something similar and upload the results to SoundCloud or Vocaroo. Would you be able and willing to help with that? It sounds like you would be uniquely qualified.

cheers,
Jess
