THE UNTHINKABLE
The words no longer held at bay
now escaping from our thoughts
to form upon our lips
to spill forth but
Still not ready to use the word "dying"
Use kinder words that skirt the unspeakable
Death now again approaches our door
It is not welcome, We are not ready
Does the bastard have to be so cruel
Strips one of his dignity, enters with pain and fear
and utter embarrassment
Forced to keep others out, knowing they will see
what evil it has already imposed upon his wasting body
His strange ally now only the cold porcelain of
a small, private room
Temporal wasting, hollow eyes, the empty stare
My conversations with him superficial
He knows I know, still be tries to hide
Loosing strength, losing hope, I fear he
will do the unthinkable to escape, to seize control
My older brother, the last of three
Now it is just down to me
The only girl, always protected by the three
Stands alone, and I don't know what to do
But to accept, and hate

A moving,
A moving, but also a very strong poem about loss and fear of cancer. It's good that you have at least written about it, and i hope it helps at such a sad time. I will not criticise this poem, just admire the courage it took to write this. Love Roscoe..

Linda
My thoughts are there with you, I have myself been there where you are four times in the last four years.
Half the children of my parents have left to journey on, plus others, the list is growing.
I am lucky in many ways, one main way is that I know they go to a better place, where one day we will all meet again in some form, but a form of unconditional love where we will know them as we did here.
Hold your Kin in your love, deep in that lovely mind, , they will wait for us of that I am sure.
I send you my thoughts of warm ways that will keep you held in your time of need, Yours Ian.T and Friends xx

Dear Linda
There are a few places this one could use a tidy up but I cannot crit a personal poem such as this is, I am very sorry for your losses and I send my very best to you and your family
a touching poem, its heart renderingly sad, I pray you get the strength you need to get you through this terrible time
sincerely Jayne-Chloe
