Winters' Magic

Any day, but...not too far into winter
where the cool sun, sits high in the sky;
the briskness of autumn can deliver,
a hearty magic, that can cause some to cry.

And, long about dusk there's a calmness,
that accompanies the powers that be...
so, the night air can hit with a suddenness,
and "twilight" allows beings to roam, free.

To be sure, one can check in the meadow
where the tall grass is coerced by the breeze,
and, the fireflies are all glowing, yellow;
until the faeries are adjourned to the trees.

Then, all the mistwhisps, and hobbits
begin chanting in rogue dialect, to have fun;
should one be blessed to envision their habits,
then, one knows the nights' magic's begun!

There is but, one difference at day-break
in the morning, the "magic" brings gnomes...
to help clean the messes that hobbits make,
because, they're pig-pens, when not in their homes.

so, remember this one , "rule of thumb", please;
in the magic, one must try not to stare;
and whatever you do, you must not sneeze,
or the next minute, you might not be there!

"coerced by a breeze" I may well have to steal this phrase some day lol( with your permission). And the reference to the days when a sneeze was considered a little death ! My small mind can find no place to suggest a change in this whimsical write. well done....................scribbler

This is very, very good, a whimsical delight...if I ignore the commas, which start and stop me in odd places, and break the cadence, for me.
