WINTER CHILLS-- re-write

WINTER CHILLS
[inspired by Puccini's aria "Languide Carezze" [TOSCA]

WINTER CHILLS

The sky was frozen
sapphire still
and the sunlight pierced
through a sudden winter chill.
the days are getting colder
the Palm trees will not dance
tonight
In warm southern breezes

I turn my lights to dim,
sit in my easy chair
and for a moment
stare
into memories hidden
somewhere
in my mind

Why didn’t you tell me
long ago
what I now know:

You don’t love me
anymore

Life's circle is too soon
broken
Time waits for no one
and I follow
where it takes me

Like a field left fallow
I wait for the promise
of the next tomorrow.

A subtle piece of thought and a memory caress, not sure about one of your Stanzas though it seems to have the tenses mixed:-
Why didn’t you tell me
long ago
what I already know:

Those thing I now know???? as you already know them then someone must have told you previously??

Just a thought Yours Ian.T

There are a million reasons to believe in yourself,
So find more reasons to believe in others..

Yes. I need to fix that.

Thanks, Ian

I still have the temp in Florida on my phone and noticed its definitely cold there and you are perhaps not prepared for such, I hope you keep good and warm somehow, more warm fruit drinks:)

and the sun burst boldly through... either without the AND or with an S on the burst

into dark corners:..................do you need dark corners? Stare is so strong standing on its own, a stop.

memories that I can

hardly bear.............................we know that you think of your memories when you stare which makes a ............................................ good end to this part

You don’t love me

anymore.................................this seems odd here, unexplained, more a complaint than a poem.

been broken...................I try hard to understand this circle of pain-broken?

Like a field left fallow
I wait for the promise
of the next tomorrow.......I like this verse specially Joe

"The image of yourself which you see in a mirror Is dead,
but the reflection of the moon on water, lives." Kenzan.

Takk, Anni. Will make changes.

......forget my yesterday
and live for tomorrow....

Forget the buried yesterday
and
not even think
of a wishful tomorrow

But live the day today
as if there will be no tomorrow..
take it or leave it its simple,as simple as,
is your will,
the temperature is reducing still

loved

Love conquerors morbidity.

I feel I need more information.
