TIME

TEMPUS

melancholy Time moving
in circles eternal.
devouring all it touches
leaving nothing behind
no chance to know the present,
barely remembering yesterday,
not sure what tomorrow brings
caught in the vortex of its own nature.

Long time since I've read your works. This is a good sad poem. hmmm. I know things have been tough for ya, hang on buddy.

Alid

There is no concept of time in the universe, we made it so, that our sums would make sense, and use it as a ruler for many things.
Gradually we will go over to the frequency of light as a standard, but there we even have a problem as light is affected by Gravity, it bends and in bending it must change it wavelength.
So where does that leave us poor humons that have to tic tock, tic tock, our lives.
We are transient creatures young joe, touching each other on this plain then moving on.
There in the flash of a dying star we will cast no shadow, as we are a part of the whole always..

Unconditional love to you all.

I can relate: the closer you get to entropy, the more Time feels like an inexorable killer, never letting you sit back, relax, and watch the stars.
Good powerful poem, man.

Caught in the ever decreasing circle. No respecter of human life.
Sadly we are ruled by it and not the other way round.
There may be no time in the universe, but it dominates life on Earth, not of our making, but natures'. Jx

sure an arguement
but final dead is dead
Ive seen dead
been near it a few
times...
never saw no light
myself..but I know
there is more

saw some interesting
stuff...met some people
with gifts
the real mckoys anyay

I dont fear death
not for all I have done
and that I have not
done...
for I have done both
with equal relish

our ego makes us
judges....
of each other
and our past
and then ourselves
at fifty three
Ive had a good
run myself
if I die tomorrow
I die tomorrow
part of the cycle
Its native too think
such and its viking
too think such
both my heritage
and canadians

I greatly admire the
way U just keep
writing Geremia
I know U keep an eye
on sunsets...beauty
U still percieve
memories
etc
we all do
well some of us

excellent poem
U are a true traveller
letting me know
of the road

thank U!
