Suddenly Imagine

Suddenly Imagine

Written by: Mario Vitale
Suddenly Imagine

Two faces look deep in the reflection on a lake
Shades of flowers drape the outer perimeter
Out of mere sadness there comes a frantic cry
A storm is brewing in the distance we begin to shake

Shake dreams from your hair my pretty child
A pebble is thrown in the mirror painted glass
Colors illuminate the fragile imagination of the mind
Out of kindness we agree to leave the known destination

Perhaps in need of a break on a long awaited vacation
With the surface of the moon creating a great swell at night
Haunted by the vast images that imitate & fright
In a sullen mast we embrace the day

Now is a good time to bow the knee to pray
Shelter lies dormant amidst it's beckoning plow
A tug at the heart should light the inner spark to what it is I have been waiting for,

Suddenly Imagine a world with an angelic charm & dream
The young could go forth & run through it's scene
To watch on as a lone beggar searches for bread on the street
There is light & love in all of us with the willingness to repeat
