The Soul of an Eagle

I’m only guessing; he has Military wings?
A Man who can write so passionately
About visions of the sky
Must have flown through
A thousand that were blue

Gravity keeping his mind sharp
His wings taking him on many journeys

At times,
Through rough storms
Turbulence, guiding a heavy heart

A soul that I describe
As one of an eagle
Truly magnificent
And fiercely powerful

Proudly gliding in search of prey
Caressing nature's hand
Up in the clouds

Thrilled to fly
Until he needs to pause

Resting for a time

His next adventure begins.

It is truly humbling and such an honour for someone to have a poem written for them in particular. Thank you so much ~ what can I say?

The  Argent  Teardrop

Maybe you see a silver teardrop
Welling in my eye,
Perhaps you see it spilling out

And if you wonder why.
If you see the faintest smiling
Visiting my lips
You may see me brush my eyebrow
With my finger tips.

I try to hide the silver tear
Perchance your own eyes see
What it could be to cause me smile
And warmly comfort me.
Then you might see me look away

To shy your wondering gaze,
In case you spot the silver teardrop
Through the misty haze.

If you see me peering distant,
As you sometimes do;
And if you ask me why it is ~
It's all because of you.
So I must keep my secret dark
And never let it speak
Lest you see a silver teardrop
Tumbling down my cheek.

does not dare to fly with the eagle; only to admire him from a distance. Unless the eagle be well fed. You write of the eagle as though they are common to your skies. Well done! ~ Geez.

Dear Tedddy, what a lovely and powerful poem. I have no nits. We have eagles where I live and it's magnificent to see them spreading their wings and swooping down. My daughter makes kites shaped as eagles. They're enormous kites.
Your poem pays homage to nature in such a beautiful way. I'm not altogether sure whether your character is a real man or an eagle.
Never mind, I've enjoyed my visit here and always will, All the best, Gracy

"My soul is painted like the wings of butterflies; fairy tales of yesterday will grow but never die, I can fly, my friends.” – Freddie Mercury

In fact this is metaphor, I have actually written a poem about A man, Our very own Alan s Jeeves, I just imagine him like this. I'm thrilled you like it. X
