Solstice

You, little robin chick,
nest resting on the solstice.
Will you wing off riding, quietly?
Is the music of freedom
the joy of a mother
shouting morning verses
from your ancestral genre?

Time to say good-bye,
land safely
in nearby frond pillows.
Loose end adventurous,
return address unknown,
but to follow chirps
your change accompanies
in a countryside festival.

Low flight navigation
to the evening sky and
meandering streams.
Find your future,
pass it on.

So nice to read a calming peaceful poem when so many people are mired in misery. Appreciate this ....stan
