SHRIEK

SHRIEK

Shreik! the leak in yonder pipe,
is permanently dripping,
run go fetch a bucket,
for its running rancid water,
of a funny sort of green.

with the cellar door ajar,
it will air the scene to dry,
and the straw upon the floor,
will soak excess.

a netting hung from nails,
to the pegs above the frame,
a spade can hold the middle,
for the draught.

then the flies can stay outside,
the wasps stay in their hives,
they hang from all the rafters in between
I'm always banging into them unseen.

the snowplough lent against the wall of grey,
its painted handle always in the way,
if you step over the ash and the clay in that black sack,
you'll find what you are looking for today.

and that's the bit of rag,
you see up high above the sill,
its a horrid sort of grey but fits the job,
we can bung it in the hole for temporary control.

then fetch the blooming plumber,
when the time is right for that;
oh pass the pliers please I'll try myself
they're up there on the rickety brown shelf.

Seems like you are in dire need of some good DIY, I think you should move lol The Leek should be in the garden, then you should be able to find the Leak in the house unless its another USA dictionary ??? as Gray is our Grey, the words are evolving soon we will all be talking text talk then God will have to make us Telepathic so that we can talk to each other.
Loved this piece for its chaos, hope you find someone that can fix all these things would make a good piece as a PS to this one, Yours as always,

There are a million reasons to believe in yourself,
So find more reasons to believe in others..

Thank you Ian, one becomes befuddled when routing about in the cellar, it was fictitious, but was true several times when the ancient pipes froze and I had to have them replaced.

We are good DIY people E and I, we have put plumbing here and there, and with my husband in England we put the whole central heating system in the cottage, and the rewiring when Wylex plugs were stipulated, then of course we had an electrician to approve it all. Changing the manifold exhaust on the car wasn't easy, nor draining the brakes, so name it!!!!

That's it chaos.Ann.

but the reflection of the moon on water, lives." Kenzan.
