The Scent of Muscadines

An abundance of musky silk
gently passing my lips,

soaking softly onto my palate,
a quick rinse, around and down

The finest way, to pass an evening
under the southern skies,
and the moon’s lantern

where the vines, rich in flavour
can melt away, even the worst of days

nature's antique bouquet,

Salute!

What did you think of my title?
Last few words:
Dear Friends (muscadine) grape. so i used the word salute, it means cheers in italian. the (e) pronounced like an (a) therefore rhymes with bouquet Scribbler (Stan) very kindly gave me this title as i had two to choose from on the title workshop. I loved them both so have decided to show this one too.

to you too dear Teddy. I don't know the taste the muscadine brings as wine in all its versions prohibited for the harm it causes to the body and the mind.
I however enjoyed the detailed description through out. It could apply to any delicious fruit as well.
Thank you.

I actually have never tasted muscadine grapes that I know of, so this is a challenging poem for me, I wonder if someone will give some more knowledge as I had to study this one! Thank you Rula, you have made my day!

Thank you...Teddy

Muscadines have a similar taste to the dark grapes but have a strong muskiness in addition.

Thank you so I might have something good here, considering I have probably never tried muscadines, I just had to try the title out!

Hi Teddy, I'm not sure what muscadine wine tastes like. In Argentina we have "moscatel", which is a sweet wine with about 15% alcohol. Usually served with desserts.
I like the title you've chosen and the whole poem is lovely as well as educational. Salute!

I don't think I've ever tried muscadine wine either however after study a bit, I think this poem will come back to me one day after having tasted a bottle. Sangiovese grapes are the ones I am lucky to taste more often and they are very fruity, but dipends on each wine.

Hi Teddy, I think the connoisseurs of wine think that sweet wines are kinda common. I love them, in Argentina one has sweet, fruity moscatel after pizza, along with a creamy dessert. Not for slimmers.
Thanks for the info. Best, Gracy

How nice of you to come back to tell me a bit about the wine in Argentina, I agree, I have a few friends who are wine tasters and they often bring me wine, but I have to say this, the best wine in the world is the one you love the most. My favourite is (col di sasso) it's really cheap Tuscan wine, but it just has that something special.

the wine that is the best, is the one you enjoy the most. I like the sweet ones and chilled very cold. I do know of Moscatel, and
as teenagers, it was one that we could get our hands on, [one of the gang's father was a wine salesman] and we could get a
bottle easily. Very easy reading and understanding. Short and concise. Very nice. ~ Geezer.
