Sadness & Clouds (Assignment from on-line Poetry Class)

Insubstantial is the feeling.
Something in my eyes that drip.
Floating, helpless, drifting.
Why can't I chart my way?

Mist is my essence
Parts always falling.
I yearn to be more complete.
Why is there no solid ground?

I know my time is brief.
Why do I feel so alone?

Review Request (Intensity):
I want the raw truth, feel free to knock me on my back
Last few words:
I am taking the online class by Hanif Abdurraqib, called Writing for Expression: How to Make Your Words More Artful & Lyrical. The following is an assignment to write an abstract poem that links sadness and clouds without mentioning either by name. Thought some of you might be interested.
