THE RING

THE RING
I would like a ruby ring
blood red
magical of soul
mirror of my heart
cradled in bright gold
a ring I can hold
without a memory
something new only for me
just for a while until the time
it slips from a ravaged hand
and remembers who I am….

I get this...I knew so few men who wore
these..
Men of gentle armor
strength
holding their anger and rage
not stirred and fired by the forge
breath of dragons
(My mother was one! but I loved her
and despite the Hate...we loved each
other)
Something for me...
damn right!
