REBEL

Do not fuse,
like a drop of water
into a bucket of red paint.

Hold your ground
And do not sink Genius.

Do not vanish
like raindrops when they hit the soil,
Resist Gravity.

You are the resilient candle flame
Clothed with the thick furs of the night.

You are like the naked white rose
Guarded by vermilion priests,
The oasis in a desert.

If you don't blend in,
You are meant to stand out...

Review Request (Intensity):
I want the raw truth, feel free to knock me on my back
Review Request (Direction):
What did you think of my title?
How was my language use?
What did you think of the rhythm or pattern or pacing?
How does this theme appeal to you?
How was the beginning/ending of the poem?
Is the internal logic consistent?

this is perfect

agree with Lynn. I read this four times because I liked it that much. I see nothing to add or change. One thing, did you mean to say " grounds" or " ground" in the first line, second stanza? That is only a small thing.
This was great!

Rottie
Pegasus was a genius,
living within a suit of difference.
He liked what he was,
nodded in respect and
simply flew . . . away.
