Prince Charming

I met you for the first time
When I was five, you were in a book

I remember, because you were
Broad shouldered, wearing a royal jacket
Red trousers with a gold stripe down the side
Golden belt, black boots, with white gloves
That’s the moment I fell in love

We met once again when I was eight
I was reading you, to a younger child
She loved you too

I met you when I was seventeen
It was my first day of work
To have you close, meant the world to me

And again when I was twenty-eight
A reminder at thirty, you some how managed
To come my way

I met you, yesterday
I’ll probably meet you, tomorrow

But I still don’t know you.

it's every girl's dream to see her Prince Charming galumphing down the road to have her try on the silver slipper.
I hope your dream came true and the slipper fit. You wrote a lovely poem. I also believe in fairytales. I got my princess--rather, she got me. Yours,

Hey jk
I really don't believe such exists, however the childhood fairytales are fun. My best to yourself and Linda.

Thank you...Teddy
