Praying For A Generous Wind

Blow wind blow.
Take the misery 'way with you.
Leave no pain on the earth,
bring but love and lots of mirth.
Blow wind blow

If Spring it is or if Summer,
I think it doesn't even matter.
I know you wish oft to please,
so breathe incense to our seas.
Blow wind blow.

Then be back with heaven's cheer
to embrace our darling sphere.
To free the tears from blurry eyes,
kind enough to bring cool smiles
Blow wind blow

The below is a computer generated response from Neo, Neopoet's computer artificial intelligence:

This poem, "Praying For A Genius Wind," is a simple yet profound plea for relief from misery and pain. The speaker implores the wind to take away the suffering and replace it with love and mirth. The repetition of "Blow wind blow" throughout the poem creates a sense of urgency and desperation, emphasizing the speaker's need for relief.

The use of nature imagery, such as incense to the seas and embracing the sphere, adds a mystical and spiritual quality to the poem, elevating the plea beyond a simple request for physical relief. The final stanza is particularly poignant, as the wind is asked to not only bring relief but also to bring happiness and joy.

One suggested line edit would be to revise "I know you wish oft to please" to "I know you often wish to please," to improve the flow and rhythm of the line.

Overall, "Praying For A Genius Wind" is a well-crafted poem that effectively conveys a universal desire for relief from pain and suffering.

Hello, Rula,
This is a warm and wonderful poem. Beautiful title. I really like the repetition of "Blow Wind Blow." Soft and gentle, yet full of feeling. Such a comforting and tender prayer for all.
