Polygamist

why must you marry two?
why must you marry three?
why are you a polygamist?
why did you do that?
why why-why-why have you chosen to punish us
why did you pressurize yourself?

The innocent child is desperate
because his plight is cumbersome
his mind is poisoned
for his struggle started in the morning
you owe him plenty
you have a question to answer,
if only God can free you a moment.

Review Request (Intensity):
I want the raw truth, feel free to knock me on my back
Review Request (Direction):
What did you think of my title?
How was my language use?
What did you think of the rhythm or pattern or pacing?
How does this theme appeal to you?
How was the beginning/ending of the poem?
Is the internal logic consistent?

I met several men who discussed polygamy. In the end, they all needed group therapy! It's hard enough to have one mate, having 4....a nightmare! I remember the issues- what to buy for a birthday, the jealousies among the wives, who to sleep with tonight...all this stress! You can have it!

I think ultimately the practice will end because of the weight of it's own suffering in the modern world. Feminism will reach all parts of the planet and ultimately we will be seeing less of this.

In truth I am not sure I understand the second stanza- the innocent child, the "you"...could you elaborate a little?

than teach ten thousand stars how not to dance

as a polygamist, having plenty of children is a punishment to them, and it affects their destinies and the have sentiment amongst themselves.

From the moment of birth to when we die, life presents us with dilemmas and questions that amuse, titillate and confuse us. As we get older, we realize that what we thought we knew was all pure conjecture. This poem is meant to reflect the myriad of disjointed thoughts that have run through my mind throughout the years. The “why me?” and “what is my purpose in life?” questions usually are met with ambiguity and incoherence. Many of us are beleaguered with these conceits and although some find solace in religion, for people like me it becomes an existential never ending struggle.

Well I will answer your two most pertinent Questions.
Qs 1.
“why me?” ...
AND DO YOU KNOW...
what is happening to your neighbour's
they could be in a position worse
OKAY
MUCH WORSER....
you will never know.
Just remember
we all come with our own kind of disease/MALADY
with much sore numbers

Qs 2.
“what is my purpose in life?
In REALITY know this please
there is no
PURPOSE OF LIFE
At least I so feel
except that we all are born
after conjugation of two successful one
and to further succeed in our existence
Try and make your life more purposeful
bang at night with a licensed one
or visit a ONE NIGHT FREE open STAND
where two minded can each other
at least the whole night withstand
else hold mine and I will yours'
shake hands and part as if the two had played no part
ere the night departs
you depart
go home an light a candle
smell roses and perfumes
before your minds aberrations
cause about a doom
boom boom boom

thank you for encouraging me, thank you once again.
