The photograph stills...

The photograph stills,

A face now fractured has
nowhere to look as the
photograph stills, while
coloured pain and paint
still run
There shall be no more
blushing of skin, when
a tiny word removes what
someone else has done.

Complexion, just a myth
perpetuated by a wall street
bulletin board.
When an ugly fish is captured
by the hook, it will hang silent
until it’s time comes to
be ignored.

Review Request (Intensity):
I want the raw truth, feel free to knock me on my back
Last few words:
Why pay the price of looking good, it's vanity gone crazy...

This poem seems to have a lot of philosophical depth, but I cannot make any out right now. I like the imagery you create, and being a photographer, I appreciate the theme.

I am not sure where this still picture was taken, from here it is a job for the CIS and the forensic's team, As to the fish well the last one I saw though its head had departed it looked beautiful in its crumbed coat with new potatoes holding court, even they had no eyes, lol, Good write No mystery to me,

There are a million reasons to believe in yourself,
So find more reasons to believe in others..

As i said above we pay millions having our faces, and our bodies for that matter, reshaped and painted. If we were not made to feel so inadequate through adverts, perhaps that money could be used for a common good. Thank you Ian for your comments. Regards Roscoe..

you have a way of saying important things beautifully.

I wonder if it was your conscious intention to style it such that it feels fractured like a photographer's flashes. Whether intent or not, perhaps subconsciously, bloody brilliant. Also really elegant use of internal sounds.

This is the sort of poetry that makes neo-formalists look like amateur republicans.

Thank you Jess, your comments always mean a lot to me. This just rattled out in a bit of a rage after watching an advert. Then thinking of my grandaughters, and the pressures they'll face while growing up. Again i say thank you, Regards Roscoe..
