The Other Man

He is wrong, it's what we're taught ...

but were we informed?

Racist crap draped in artistic expression
is shit on the shoe of the human experience,
can the words be said without the added
punctuation of separation?
Shouldn't all forms be allowed,
should every shout be commonly heard,
should the offensive leave our eye,
or should we reach out,
handcuff the arm of the other man,
until all is forgiven, or one is swayed,
but then where would we be?

Religions are based on the other one is wrong,
but they too deserve the same equal space,
it doesn't matter what you condone,
we are all members of the same Earth Society.

I reserve my right to be explosively wrong,
or so goddamn right it scares you,
even when the hot button closes your mind,
or raises your skirt for the fuck of your life ...
and there it is, the every man of us.

We should be honest in our speech /comment/and criticism, on the other hand we should except what we get.
Everybody has the right to speak and write at the same time "" honesty will be always the best policy""

You want the truth about your poem , here it is:
A voice should be heard. That’s wt I saw in this poem and everybody should read it, but I did not like the line before the last one,coz I think it’s not appropriate to be used in such beautiful work, or at any literary work.

Thank you for reading and commenting on this
piece ... everyone has the right to state their own
opinion here, especially anywhere that I have the
least bit to say about it. You understood the poem,
I'm sorry you felt some of it inappropriate, and I do
understand your observation.

thanks Mona

Thank you for reading and commenting, much of what
I write now has this sort of flavor to it, not everyone will
like.

thanks again

It is the poet in us who speaks the truth. Who won't settle for anything less.

Some suggestions, Richard:

He is wrong, it's what we're taught ...

Racist crap draped in artistic expression
is human shit on the shoe of experience,
can any words be spoken without adding
its punctuation of separation?
Shouldn't all forms be allowed,
should every shout be commonly heard,
the offensive leave our eye,
or should we reach out--
handcuff the arm of the other man,
until all is forgiven, or one is swayed,
but then where would we be in this intimacy?

Religions are based on "other" and "wrong",
but don't we all deserve equal space?
Does it matter what you condone,
if we are but members of the Human Race?

I reserve my right to be explosively wrong...
or so goddamn right it terrifies you!
Even when the hot button closes your mind,
or raises your skirt for the fuck of your life ...
and there it is, the every man of us
(an elephant in your living room.)

Richard, forgive me my indulgence...it seems like I write with your hands and I speak with your mouth.....

~

I welcome your indulgence with greedy fingers ...
thank you, this write is definitely in need and you've
helped me to see where some of the bumpiness is.
I just wrote this the other day, well, the beginning was
written some time ago, but the rest just fell out the
other day (middle of the night actually) ... I usually
don't post brand new poetry, but felt a "push" to
post.

thank you Anna, I'll be editing this one soon !
