Who can tell the difference
between gallantry and deceit;
that is clear only to
the querying breeze?

Who could not smell
the pungent heavy cloud
before the pulling of
the petulant wind?

Further, afar off, no one inquires
about foreseen mornings unseen
dreams once winged zephyrs
echo in forgotten hallways.

Perched high on rock faces grim
beneath the humming of the bird,
awash on porous promontories -
failure now permeates the abject soul.

To understand thy thoughts
One needs to deliberate,
The command you aspire,
To hold with the English language

If you continue
In such deep rooted magnificence,
Friends like me
Shall evaporate
In utter ignorance

Folly would make us feel naïve,
To understand
Your in-depth meaning
And
Excruciating words
We rarely have heard,
One shall take shelter,
In the proverbial dictionary,
Under the hidden
Shades of lampposts,
When times to sleep
And
You awaken most

for your lengthy comment.

Each author speaks from their heart
as prodded by their faithful Muse
by whose stirrings the pen inscribes

Each line of verse it seems governed
by theme and context and vocabulary
that provides not only meat but substance

Each reader embarks on a private journey
the poem their vessel of choice
whose destination changes with each reading.

Thus, we all must rely on our instinct
and embrace each circumstance
as it unfolds before our very eyes.

Thanks again for journeying with one of my poems.
