Ode to Solitude

Realities of life we all must face
down from Adam to Eve
to the end of human race.
world sides those by your side
only to them if you offer a ride

if you must want anyone
to share your grief
the association will be brief

so let the world praise you
for in solitude you find a sigh
I can't say why

the sadness that prevails today
will one day go away
loneliness in utter pain
must be borne by you alone

A doc can only inject in you
tolerate him will you
let solitude be your innate partner
who knows what will happen next
will you leave the rest or become bereft

In Arabic that goes with your piece...it says
"Laugh and the world shall laugh with you, cry, then you cry alone"
But you should know that in Neopoet's community you're never alone.

Ella Wheeler Wilcox was an American author and poet. Her best-known work was Poems of Passion. Her most enduring work was " Solitude", which contains the lines:

"Laugh, and the world laughs with you; Weep, and you weep alone"

Good poem, lovedly. My mother always recited that to me, so that to this day I find it difficult to cry...not good, I'm afraid. Ella Wilcox also defended animals and disabled people, I like this strophe:

I am the voice of the voiceless;
Through me the dumb shall speak,
Till the deaf world’s ear be made to hear
The wrongs of the wordless weak.

I think you could tweak a few words from your poem, or make the lines longer so as to shorten its length. Enjoyed.
