An Ode To Oscar's Inspiration
Oscar Wilde,
In his very own words has taught me much.
I always forgive my enemies,
Nothing annoys them so much
And nothing makes me chuckle more
I do appreciate myself, after all
I agree, I am unique
I never got a doctorate for intelligence
But I married a man who does
He taught me, never to resist temptation
And never to feel guilty for it
I am writing this, with a large glass of red in hand
Oh yes, of course Chianti
He wrote,
We should all live in the world
And not just exist
It makes me want to touch the beauty from soil to stars
Because I know it’s all there
I hope it makes you feel that way too?
He taught me, through his very clever words
To at least take a chance on love,
After all, if your heart is broken
At least you know its beating
And,
How we all know the price of everything
Yet some of us, know the value of nothing.

A.E. Housman...
wrote this piece about Oscar Wilde and his imprisonment. I thought you may like to take a look.

Very nice...
Whenever I hear that quote; I think of something my mother said to me more than once. "If they tease you and make fun of you, don't ever let them know that it bothers you. That always bothers them. ~ Geezer.
