The Now

There on the golden sands of my beach
I could only see my feet, if I looked down
Nothing stretched out forward of me
I have been held in the grips of now.

No matter what my imagination could see.
I was without a doubt, held in my same now.
Then I looked to my right side, then my left.
There stretching out in my now, were my friends

Poets, writers, all people I know, and many before
They seemed to be there walking with me
I looked behind me and there were so many
All those I had met, talked to, or walked with.

Then I questioned, why this locked in now?
The answer is plain, only the now exists
The past is laid out, in, I did, rows of me.
There it cannot be changed, just observed.

I seemed to be lost as my mind battled,
Is it only the now that is real, and how big?
Can you measure an instant on any scale?
Then do we exist at all, in this minute place?

I stopped thinking this, as it was destructive.
A past laid out in rows of instances gone.
A future that is nowhere to be seen.
I stopped looking down, and dreamed on.

Review Request (Intensity):
I want the raw truth, feel free to knock me on my back
Review Request (Direction):
What did you think of my title?
How does this theme appeal to you?
How was the beginning/ending of the poem?
Is the internal logic consistent?
Last few words:
Just not seeing more of things than a past lol A thought from Jess and his time poem. A circle is an infinite number of straight lines so get use to it..

Thanks for your visit, and comment, that you think and drift away is good.
What really does any of us know, when if you break everything down it is all atoms interlinked by a force we have no idea what.
One of my friends use to say we are part of a giant plastic cup floating in space where ever that is.
Our concept of infinity is restricted by our life span, it starts and it must end, we cannot conceive an endless space, where universe after universe may exist for ever outward.
Existence is what we make of it be it physical or Spiritual, an eternal puzzle without an end.
Take care out there and once again thanks for dropping in,
Yours Ian..

limp in means ???.lol or rflol

Maybe you is holding back but there again in my now you can't, do we need to send healing to you lol.
This now I have been thinking about it, and it has shrunk into such a tiny place, there is nothing we can do to realise our now.
Need someone to explain if there is anything else, as the fact that you were on my left or right has put you in the past LOL talk about conundrums, I have now shrunk to a spot similar to a black hole where there is an abundance of information and many words waiting to escape this tiny space.
Too much for me to think about.
Take care young Bard and look after those legs of yours.
Yours as always Ian..
