My Only Love

My Only Love

It was in the seventies when we first met
Long hair, his eyes smiling--always loving
But why at my age of sixty, I’m still thinking about him.

He is the only one in my heart
I’m always happy to see him
Whether day or night, he is my only happiness
Come what may, he's my one and only love

I once dared to go to their house
And he gave me a quick, hot kiss
Oh, my First Love is how I really feel it.
Oh, My First Kiss, the intensity is too much.

Since then, he has always been on my mind
It's hard to forget him, and hard to imagine
That where or when we will meet again
Today or tomorrow? I’d say I will wait and wait till forever.

Years have passed, almost five decades
We are here again now, have our own families.
Our beautiful story does not end there
We get back together like young men and women so madly in love again.

O Facebook, Thanks — I am free to love again
There’s a problem, he is not free either
But we make do with our happy kisses and "sweet nothings"
Are all OK while waiting for a new dawn of day..

My love you are unique in my life
You are the only one I love the most
It's like having an over drinking of intoxicating liquor
Me going crazy all the time all the time.

Comments

If this is true, it's very touching. I too have loved and lost but I would rather cut my head off with a blunt knife than go round to where I know she lives with my replacement. Just imagine the shame if she peeked out a window and saw me ogling their house.

If it's not true, it had me fooled.
