My Nose

I like my nose
It’s not like my toes
And not like a hose,
Not my nose!

My nose breathes in
My nose breathes out
It’s on my face
Mommy calls it a snout.

I like my nose
It’s not like my toes
It’s not like my ears
Ask anyone . . . everybody knows!

Awe That's gorgeous Mark. Such playfulness in this, snout is a fun word. This is most endearing.

Thank you...Teddy

This comment is not a bad thing, but it sounds like something a child would recite in school. Something that they would delight in. It instantly brought back to me, reading things of the kind to my boys when they were young. I love the simplicity and the fun it brings. It was the first thing I read this morning with my breakfast and gave me a terriffic start to my day. Thanks. ~ Gee.

Hi, Mark,
I'll join in on the accolades to this one! I really enjoy children's poetry, Shel Silverstein is a favorite. I think children's poetry is especially hard to write - it has to be so inviting and fun, but also somewhat worthy of the read! I really like this!
Thank you!
L

It is only one of two that I have managed to write over the years.
Pleased to have you comment,
