For Mia

In the golden light of forever
shes skipping and dancing about.
She's running along with unicorns
of this dears I have no doubt.

On earth she was a treasure
that god had lent for a while,
gentle blessings were bestowed
from her laugh and in her smile.

Warm baths and warm hands
some of her favourite things,
nail polish of various colours,
until she heard an angel sing.

As her time drew ever nearer
her pain and suffering grew,
but with a lions heart she fought
yet she had to leave, she knew

A love so great had held her
tethering her to this form,
see she was so happy here
this love kept her soul warm

Mummy and Daddy held her
filling her small body with love,
Mia left this world as she came
gently held as a gift from above

Tonight as you mourn tomorrow
remember Mia's beautiful smile,
in the starlight of heaven she rides
ribbons stream behind her for miles.

In the golden light of forever
shes skipping and dancing about.
She's running along with unicorns
of this dears I have no doubt.

At peace.

As I said on facebook I doubt there could have been a better poet chosen to write this.

Thank you. I ripped up 7-8 drafts, then Saturday night I was listening to a song. And inspiration hit and it just came out. I was dubious about writing it for a child I didnt know but having lost my own children I know the pain and felt I knew what was needed to hopefully bring some comfort? I spoke to Vicki found out about her and her favourite things and yeah I think Mia may have been watching over me. Vicki said it was perfect and reflected Mia. Thats all I could ask.

Thanks for reading Bro its appreciated

Love always Sis.

Thank you. Im sure Poppy and Mia are riding and laughing and having a wonderful time in the starlight of heaven. Mia is now free again to run and play and even talk for she was wheelchair bound and had lost the power to talk. She could laugh and smile nearly to the end. Given her condition she was a little warrior.

Where the Children are they need no legs and talk with thought and colours that we have only dreamed of.
On my site if you ever go there is Sadie's Diaries this may help.
Sadie use to talk to me through Anne just before she went to proper sleep, on the audio tapes the voices are different and many children use to come through, as I have said There are 125 of 90 minute tapes of the children and a few others talking to me.
Remember I sent you one from the Airport just before I left Aussie when I visited my Daughter.
The tapes are with my Son in Cornwall and I have asked him to send some of them to me so that I can do some work on them and transpose them to writes like Sadie's Diaries.. I will let you know when I have some here and will send a copy or post on the net..
Take care my Jaughter and I send healing to you as always and the children are there with you as always,
Yours,
Da xxx
It is a pity it never arrived with you..

so good to see you back

a very touching piece, a tribute to Mia..wishing her soul to remain in eternal peace. Surely Angels will look after her

should there be a comma after "of this" at 2 places in first and concluding stanzas and perhaps an apostrophe in L2

take care....looking forward to your posting more....

It's good to get back when I can but as anyone whos my friend on FB knows I cant get round much anymore. Pains an issue and I'm extremely ill myself atm I just couldnt not help these people after they'd looked everywhere for a poem for Mia. Now she has her own as it should be. I'm not actively editing this one. I know there is a little bit of punctuation issue but when im up to it. I will tidy it up a bit.

Always good to see you my old friend

Love and biggest hugs Jayne xxx

Life sends us lilies or it sends us loss

I have to make the best of what times given to me. It maybe brief but I'm trying to write. To give me more strength. Seems I'm getting a lot of loss. But I think thats been my lesson. One not learned but still a lesson.

Nice to see you. You'll have to explain to the ignorant what NPR stands for or maybe im having brain fade it is 1.23am and I'm a little tired.

Thank so much I appreciate your thoughts on this post. Yes little bit of a punctuation issue but when I am up to it I'll sort it out. I'm emailing to Vicki tonight I'll sort those few bits out and if I get time I'll duck back in and fix it.

I love the screen name. Thracian king wasnt he ?.

I really appreciated the read and your kind comment this was a request I mulled over and some like Jess said don't write it, others the opposite. In the end I tried to give the family something to give them comfort.

Thanks again. And nice to meet you. Im old hat here my 11th year.

Cheers Jayne.

Yours is the pen name of a most famous New York curiosity store/restaurant that is known for a "frozen hot chocolate" ...

Eumolpus was the poet in the Satryicon by Petronius, the poet in residence during the time of Nero. Perhaps the first true "novel", it was a satire in many volumes (scrolls) most of which are lost, a combination farce, porno, and philosophical tale about 2 students wondering about the backstreets of the Roman empire, which was so vast. Only a few sections survive, but enough to make a story. The best translation is by Oscar Wilde. Eumolpus is a great character also in the Fellini film version, based as much on the imagination of the director as in the segments that have survived.
