Master of Reception

A cheerful hello and clasp of the palms
Smile to smile to talk for a while
Seems so new yet recalling clear
Greetings are a continuous happening here

Writes till her hand
She can no longer command
Sits straight, appears tall
Talks in answer to the endless call

The files, a very large part of her plan
For some moments a stretch in relief so to stand

She turns to grasp my stack of versed lines
A parcel unique in a binding so neat

To view her is a thought certain to be
A master of reception must be her degree

Style / type:
Free verse
Review Request (Intensity):
I want the raw truth, feel free to knock me on my back
Last few words:
She was the receptionist at my doctors office. She was always a pleasure to deal with. A poem for her was certainly in line. One day I brought my entire manuscript to show her and she liked it vary much. Eventually my doctor would receive an entire unpublished yet finished manuscript as a gift for his retirement. He was impressed. I knew then that I would publish my manuscript.

I like your first line with clasping palms, the words convey the sound of palm leaves

Hi Irene, I may begin my 3rd book I'm not sure. I sure that this is not the place to do that though lol

If you refer to the moderate activity here I understand. But on other platforms one can have thousands of veiws and only few and not constructive.
If you want more critiques from me, let me know.

upwards of 200 poems and that would overwhelm our stream, but thanks so much.
The big decision, really was for a bit of a few words about the poem before it on a page.
That was the mistake in my first book. And poetry only no short stories.

frankly speaking
very few read poetry
unless the poet is
A CELEBRITY A POLITICIAN A DIRECTOR ACTOR OR WORLD'S PLAYER.
That too his book is sold (forget the merit)
I had a lot of experience selling mine
mostly friends want one for free
So I had to abandon
printed a few copies
gave away as gifts on Bdays etc

But I don't want to disappoint you
you are good

I liked the idea running through my first book it was just managed very wrong. Actually I'd like to try and make it right. I'm sure organizations like NAMI and NILP would give it a push.
It's just in the thinking stage now.
I know the pitfalls and the gains.
Thanks so much for your input,

let me know about NAMI etc also
after you succeed

Lovedly it is a huge decision. If I were to sell like 1000 then I would lose my medical insurance and my income would more than likely be seriously effected. I will put it together cause what else to do right? But promoting it will be the decision.
Thanks again,
