a letter to Him

I'm bored down here with this bit role; I can't take life to heart.
Next time you're casting I'll audition for a more appealing part.

Perhaps I could portray the villain, play the evil shark -
like maybe the French Emperor, Bad Nap Bonaparte,
or have a wonderful adventure planned out from the start
and fly around the world, can I understudy Earhart?

I want to be, like Da Vinci, astoundingly so smart.
Could I, next time (I'll stand in line) be genius Bert Einstein,
or mayhap clever Molly Shelley - Percy's dear sweetheart divine -
and re-write, for posterity, The Monster of Doc Frankenstein?

If feeling kind you might relent and let me waste some time,
and live an ignorant, soft life of decadent spoilt luxury,
as Suri is and Paris was, Hollywood's Sweetheart I'll be.
I'll act so well you'll offer me the part for all eternity.

Don't want to put on too much weight... if you insist I'll happily
try out for Pavarotti's bit, or e'en the eighth King Henry's,
or Ivan Pavlos' drivelling dog - although an animal, still he
taught something to all shrinks-to-be when Jung was just a young upstart.

I'm bored down here with this bit role; I can't take life to heart.
Next time you're casting I'll audition for a major leading part.
