KILLERS

KILLERS
Words meant to kill
the son
cut deep into mother
and father
and like phantoms
wandering in time
haunt still
the living and the dead,
Something in us ends.
Nothing is ever the same
Again.

Words can be a powerful weapon, physical wounds can heal. But sometimes words wound and don't ever go away, leaving more than a scar. As you describe so well, familys suffer the most. Especially if it's about a sibling. Nice poem. Regards Roscoe.

Roscoe Llane,

Religion will rip your faith off, and return
for the mask of disbelief that's left.

Thank you, Roscoe. Good to see you here again,

Are sharper than sowrds
they enwound
and leave us bleeding
bad memories,
They break the hearts
and leave them
broken,
shattered ,
never can be
amended
again

I would loose "words" at the beginning and leave it open for the reader to give him/her a space to ponder(imo). But of course I like it much as it is
Thanks for your great post . It inspires indeed.

Thanks, Lonnie,It is a message I meant to send. We are all faulted "creatures" in one way or another, Few understand that. To attack one's character is to diiminiish one's worth and speaks to family honor.I asked recently how his mother would feel if I told her her son was an ass hole.

I wrote in a poem:

"I am my mother's child.
I am my father's son.."

I don't think that was clear. No matter,
