It’s All About the Sky

Today I feel really happy
Happy to be here sharing with you

It’s 6 am, I’m looking out of my open window
Sun shining really bright
reaching its way in, to caress my face

There’s a white fluffy cloud right there in front of me
As I look closer, I realize it’s the shape of a heart

What a joy it is to be awake to see this day begin
I’m listening to the morning orchestra of birds
And the trees shaking off night’s sleep

As I watch the Art so generously spread across the sky
I can smell my coffee, and hear it almost jumping out of my Moka pot

I don’t need sugar in my cup today
I feel really lucky to be alive.

the kind of cheerfulness of your morning greeting. Sounds like the FB greeting of my son, who says Goodmorning peeps, love to all my friend and family. I smile as I read it. ~ Geez.

I actually wrote this for you, after Sundays poems I was inspired by you and your words. I am delighted that you smiled my friend. I also want to tell you that yesterday I got up early and took my 7 year old son to have his hair cut, on the way we saw one of his friends playing with a live chicken it looked like a fat cat she had a harness on it like a dog on a lead. My son laughed all day long. It was.a.moment that you just had to see.

Have a wonderful day Sir

Thank you...Teddy

so honored, thank you my friend! It means a lot that my works touch others; but to actually have a poem written for me?
Priceless! To see something out of the ordinary and funny too, is such a good thing. I'm glad that your son sees the bright side of having a friend that is a little zany. People need to have memories of cheerful and odd little things in life, I'll bet that somewhere down the road, many years from now, he will say; "Hey Mom, remember that friend of mine that walked a chicken like a dog? You know, the day that you and I went to get my haircut? Then it will be a two-fold memory; you and he going for the haircut and the girl walking a chicken. ~ Geez.

well, it's still pitch- black here in my Arizona valley, at 5:30 am, but it won't be long before the sun pops up in a clear sky. No heart-shaped clouds to be expected--although we are nearing the monsoons, the season that blesses us with much-needed rain. Geezer is so right when he describes your poem as being cheerful, and it even rubbed off on me. Coffee is brewing--it's going to be a hot 115 degree F day, but it's still summer. I don't need sugar in my coffee; I'm sweet enough-- And so is your poem. Much liked. Cheers! Jerry

Good morning! So nice to know your day has started with happiness. It's around the same heat here, it's exhausting. We need some rain. Have a great day Sir.

Thank you...Teddy

and a great good morning to you, too! I'm jealous...I only get coffee on the weekend... and only one cup. I alter it between the two days; but I have got to admit that it is a great cup of coffee: Bailey's and malibu rum and buttershots!

Maybe I should have called this poem

"good morning America".

Always a pleasure to see you dear Cat.

Thank you...Teddy
