Im Blind-Sided By You

I'm blind because
I don't see your new hat,
I see how you touch it every time your nervous.

I'm blind because
I don't see your new ripped jeans,
I see how you rest your elbows on your knees every time you talk to me.

I'm blind because
I don't see your new hair cut,
I see the aftermath hairs left on your neck.

I'm blind because
I don't see how you lay down,
I see how your body folds into perfection as you rest.

I'm blind because
I don't see your eyes as you smile,
I see how the edges of your lips curl into perfection.

I'm blind because
I don't see the love texts you send me every day,
I see the empty space under it indicating that you pressed enter after typing to try to send it.

the only thing worse than
being blind is having sight
and no vision. but you....
you take my breath away
while I'm suffocated by others bullshit.

you take my sight away
leaving me with the little things
that make you up, and then
I'm buried by them... by you.

you blindside me like no other
person could. I feel that this is
fake, I fear that this is a dream.
I thought that I wanted someone
to wake me up from the
depression, but all I needed was
you to show me how to sleep and
dream.

you show me how to live my life through
not my mind, but yours. And
you make it possible even though I'm blind.

captures the essence of
being in the great bedazzlement
of someone special
that shines in character drive
to a point of obsession

i would and have taken
brilliant to dull and withered
but
thats me

exceptional eye on interpersonal
detailing in this one
metaphors in the finishing closing
of the poem especially well
drawn

very excellent writing!

Mr Wolf!

love poems I have read in a while. Just wish you could find another word instead of the second [or first] perfection. One of my bug-a-boos. Sometimes, repeat words have their uses and fit, in this case, I think you should find another word for one of them. {You're nervous] Nice read, ~ Geezer.
