If Tomorrow Never Comes

When the grim clouds of anger
threaten your peace of mind
and rage roar like thunder
as your soul entangled in a bind,
close your eyes and reach deep
within the core of your being.
if you must, then let yourself weep
to ease the pain of the sting.

Imagine that this is the last day
you breathe the air and feel your heartbeat.
How will you live your life today?
WIll you let your emotions cast you in defeat
or will you embrace forgiveness,
allowing your love to be bolder and grander?
Won't you paint happiness
in the final moments that you shared together.

You think you have time to fuss over small things
when you don't know when the exact time you'll die?
If you can hear the spirits of the dead talking,
they'll tell you the regrets they have and you'll cry
for they can never again correct their wrongs,
those times wasted on useless fights and cursing.
Don't wait for you to rise and be strong
when you know not when you are dying.

Let it be
that you'll leave this world,
being the best that you can be
leaving your loved ones
with fondest memories.

cloud(S) of anger THREATEN, not threatens... and the tense of the poem...is it present tense or past? when, when used twice...once is plenty!
Im sure that there are more issues... but this is for starters.

sarah webster

I'm still not good with the tenses. Ill see if I can get help from my mentor. Thanks again.
