I long for less longing

Oh you, my darling, are my heart's desire
But love is fleeting and it might not last
My angel and my devil will conspire
My will is fragile as if made of glass

I wish I could say that it's all your fault
Your beauty and your smile, they make me cave
I'll lock away my fears inside a vault
Though tempted, I won't take this to my grave

I think that love and water are alike
To be in love can feel as if you'll drown
Just dive in and let go without a fight
You'll probably be fine so just calm down

What happened to the girl that I once knew
So fearless, fiesty, cold and confident
I can't believe a person such as I
Made someone like you fall hard for me too

I get anxious too, just had myself
Self-concious bout things that made no sense
I want you to feel free to be yourself
Free to be as free as I've never felt, not tense

Greetings, Nicoe!
I like your title very much. In fact, it drew me in. You have a couple different rhyming patterns throughout, which if intentional, is very clever.
My favorite line:
"I think that love and water are alike
To be in love can feel as if you'll drown"
Welcome to Neopoet! I look forward to reading more of your poetry!
Lavender

I really enjoyed the third stanza there. Water and love really can be similar.

"To fly is to fall."
