I Like House

I like House most
the instant of hurt
when he realizes
his jokes are for kids
who can never see
the joke

You nailed the essence of the man. In my lingo, he's the first nondualist on TV. My son, Alex and I watched him religiously on Mondays (when the show first was aired). And neither of us are religious. lol.

I almost wish you would have given *poeticized* examples, fleshing him and you out a bit more. But like Babe, the story of a pig, when Farmer Hoggett says "that'll do, pig". I say: "That'll do, Jess."

it's a thought.

a valid thought, because it is your belief... but a thought
nonetheless

whether or not it's popular opinion, i have never looked
at a thought as being a poem ... and to me, this has no poetic value

my fingers are crossed that no-one jumps to your defence...
you are more than capable of speaking for yourself

Emotions, ideals, etc sort of get in the way.

Emotions, ideals, etc sort of get in the way.

Although in many ways I don't call this a poem, I find this subtle reference to the meanings House displays, have a kind of short poem impact that sets the mind thinking, and we get nowhere which is okay, in a vacuum of amusement, the drone of that horrid machine equally vague.
I see what you're saying, its like children and horses, someone said, or was it Italians (tongue in cheek) don't understand irony. :)

I like this poem
for its oddity
how it arrives and goes off
like rails in both distances of parrellelism of points
never knowing where the
start shall be or finish
when one is at the platform
