Humanity’s moon

We are the moon
split in half
right down the middle
one side is light
The other is dark
But both sides
fight. They fight for
Their own selfish sides
not even thinking
That their fight
For lights Of rights
Don’t even
Matter.
Because They already
had the right
To walk ,talk, live
give, write and fight .
When they were born with
a tongue To talk
Leg to walk
A brain to think
Two Hands to write
And a body
To be bold.
Were these fictional rights
Just created for one goal
For the government
To Make Our minds
Be guided like cattle
by the maniacal
men of the
Media into
The governments
gate
of control.

Hello, Edward,
Much here - this seems a bit different for you in that this poem feels focused "out there" versus the usual inward style of your poetry. "...to be bold" stands out to me and is very strong. I am intrigued with the reference to the moon - want to read a few more times and will return.
Thank you!

I love this poem! I love how towards the end, the message of the poem changes. It's really expressive and meaningful. My favorite part though is the fact of space. You have spread the lines out making the poem seem longer. I don't know if you meant to do this but it also seems like an angry poem. Like you were watching something or someone said something to you and you picked up the nearest piece of paper and wrote it, adding new ideas along the way. I do this a lot. I call them angry poems. Anyway keep up the awesome poetry!

Kisses,
Vivi

Thank you and yes that’s what I did because I fear that if we keep ignoring the big things and prioritizing the small things that this world and us will ceased to be .

Coming back to your intriguing poem: I have always been enamored with the moon - I am a romantic that way, but also because it receives its illumination from the sun, which is a source of light and strength for all of us. Therefore, when reading your poem, I am again reminded of a source of strength. Your poem reflects on many courageous values - boldness being one that stands out to me. Really enjoyed letting this poem sink in a bit.
Thank you!

And thank you
Yes but what I’m saying why fight for rights or why discriminate to begin with
The world is like the moon two different side trying to find that fictional middle mansion that will never exist. Because one always wants more then the other.
