HOOD

It was the darker side
I sought the hooded one
attention bought, became
my editor a die hard spell checker.

A tempo and chorus always
in mind devotion to the cause
undeniable, what an infamous
cloak for such a first class bloke.

When your health was in question
tears I did choke, I've yet to meet you
but I know your good folk, every co-write
was my delight.

Set my imagination alight the darker
recesses never seemed so bright
the knowing of you is my lasting delight.

Style / type:
Free verse
Last few words:
this is dedicated to neo's own hooded stranger my friend Dan.

thank you for the reply ,,,,,,zigs

Zigs,

awww man!...what a great tribute. I don't really know what to say...but I will say it is well written.

"...a tempo and chorus always in mind..." - you are so true there.

Everything in this piece is true, you didn't even need to exaggerate anything, just honest words...by an honest friend.

Typo alert!!

When you health was in question (your?)

You see, I am still your editor and spell-checker!...Lol!

Zigs...thank you so much...you are a diamond.

regards,

HS

This is wonderful! I think you made Dan blush! Tho it is hard to see under the hood, you can still feel that beautiful heart of his beating. He is a true friend and has always been there for me and Steve when we were in need. So have you!

I read in your comments that you have the flu. I hope you are feeling better very soon.

love, Cat

Dear Cat,

I am not telling if I blushed under my hood, but I do believe a small tear trailed my cheek...but it was raining so I put it down to that...can't have the Hooded guy showing signs of weakness now can we?...Lol!

Thanks for your comment my friend,

Hi Zigs, hope this evening finds you feeling better.

I offer your first stanza in this fashion:

"It was the darker side I sought
I sought the hooded one attention bought,
became my editor
a die hard spell checker"

Until our shadow-shelf (or hooded self ;-) is accepted we have yet to
write our best poetry.

Cheers to you both!
