Favourite Wintry Memory
If memory serves me well
Then on memories, I will dwell:
The month was December
And from what I remember
All I could see, and all I could smell
Was the snow as it heavily fell
I could smell prospects in the air
As snow landed in my hair
I love the scent of the wintery spell
Snow so deep, that I happily fell
My memory may be frosty though
Cos snow and ice, is all I could see
It’s vague, but it stays with me
It’s my favourite wintry memory

Good rhyming
...also enjoyed the variation of metre. The break in rhythm is refreshing. Your reference to snow, (one of the most common winter themes), is most relatable. Your closing line is simple and honest, which sums up your poem nicely.
Your reference to the smell of snow is unusual, but one I can personally relate to. Not many people make reference to it, but you do it nicely here.
Good luck in the contest! I enjoyed the read.

Favourite Wintry Memory
Hello, Michael,
I am a child again, reading this wonderful memory. So many memories of snowy days! I like the pace very much - it adds to the delight and fun.
Thank you,

dear Michael,
snow...deep and powerful...creating a layer of insulation for the earth from the cold. this is a wonderful (memory) poem. it puts me in touch with my own memories of skiing in the Utah mountain Washech range skiing resort slopes. the snow came down in big wet flakes. it was exhilarating to be sure.

People always want what they
People always want what they can't have. In England, people moan about the weather cos its always wet. But i imagine someone lives in a dry place, they would like it. Same with snow. Doesn't snow much here. So that's why its appreciated. Which state u from? wondering about the weather. know you went there but wondering where u were born.

Which is your favourite state
Which is your favourite state? Only been to Cali and Florida. Loved them both. But tourists tend to just see the nice parts

Hi Michael
I enjoyed this. It brought back some of my favorite childhood memories of playing in the snow...catching snowflakes on my tongue etc. Good job

Everything's good when a kid.
Everything's good when a kid. Snow as adults just prevents us doing stuff! Innocence when young.
