The father's Work

Are we sneakily promoting senseless free flowing mischaracterizations by implying blindness concerning the beautifully vibrant tones... and uniqueness of
our black, white, and brown skins?
Even more, quiet demand kow tows to [A] political correctness that only
unmasks the unreachable achiness of what's not possible.
( at any rate ), does our arrogant subconscious context suggest flaws in the father's work, or are we really at times, so easily...………………………

is not a poem to me. it is prose. I have nothing against prose.
I have too often spent time in this subject with new posters here with no response. So to go further, why do you think this is poem?
Just by calling something a written a poem doesn't make it a poem. We need rules to make it a game. otherwise we are playing baseball on a tennis court. It's all fake news.
you will find this debate most useful if you want to be a serious writer.

Your opinion is entitled, respect is given.
Is it not poetic in rhythm when read correctly?
is it's essence not of poetry?
and finally. traditional can also be another word for narrow minded. that's no insult lobbed at you, but such is.

Why is it a poem? Do the lines have any reason to be? Are the words alive with images, sound? Is it just based on the performance by the writer to read it aloud so it sounds like a poem? Is it a prose poem? What is that? A poet today must ask that of themselves. Poetry to me is craft as well as content
I think it was Pinsky who said “If you have to ask whether it’s a poem or not, then it’s not’
