Fairies in trees, (revised)

Fairies in trees,
Honkas as imaginary friends,
taking flight with elves,
to unknown realms,
Shamanic journeys
to aid or attack,
as a Shaman should.

Have all gone the way of sceptical atheism,
yet they remain.

magic is simply that which has not yet been explained by science

so there must still be a lot of magic in the world.

Apologies. A repitition!

is this to beg the question of why some forms of faith still exist, despite the move to a more secular world?
Very tongue in cheek, hence cheeky! ;)

Are you really away with the Fairies
I think you had better take more water with it.
Your secret is safe with me, Te, He, He, Yours, Ian.T. He, He, He..

Yes, I have researched such things, fairies included, such interesting little folk. I do agree that such things haven't been explained by science, as well as paranormal phenomenon. Another one of my areas....

"Quoth said the Raven, NEVERMORE"

This reminds me of a quote I once read : Should we encounter a civilization whose technology is advanced far beyond ours their actions will appear to be magic. This is a paraphrase and I don't recall who said it..........BTW the 3rd line needs some work as I don't think elves can fly.................stan

If you throw an Elf off of a cliff it soon learns to fly.
I know it is cruel but it seems to work for me most times
If you are walking along a beach one day at midday
And the shadows there becomes bigger, get out of the way
It will be me on the cliff top high, teaching Elves how to fly.

Take care and have a lovely day out there,
yours Ian.T and I just don't care LOL

And you bring a great deal of it to me. Science cannot explain you.

"Quoth said the Raven, NEVERMORE"

"Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic." - Arthur C. Clarke

Funny, isn't it, how even with our science, technology, critical thinking and modern culture, the ancient ways of explaining the Multiverse keep raising their collective heads in our minds and souls.

The student rushed in upon his Master.

"Master, Master! I have learned the magic of walking on water! Thirteen long years have I spent fasting, meditating, and celibate, performing spells, courting demons, studying secret sacred texts in unknown tongues ancient when the world was young, and today, finally, after so much suffering, I have walked across the river!"

"You poor, poor boy," the Master commiserated, sadly. "There is a footbridge not a mile downstream, from here."

Good poem.
