The End Is Not Far

Anything in excess is too much
be it love
or money
could be sex
just a kiss too many
the world wants to be lead by so many
man or woman any

So learn early to share
your happiness and other's misery

Covid seeks ye
the world is severely wounded
what can you
do to hold it

However must disagree that there is -and must be- something we can do about things.

Your piece challenged me to think.

And, what I am thinking is that outmoded thinking won’t fix our problems. In the southeast, we have a phrase, “stinkin’ thinkin’” and i bring this up to point out we need new, novel approaches to our world problems.

Thank you for your piece... and the direction it took me in! Seems to me that this is the job that a Good poet must do.

what you have written is good food for thought. I do what I can by social distancing and wearing a mask... but I see many who don't!

your frustration at the seeming belief that we can do nothing to help the world and all its' problems. I also understand that you have a multifaceted opinion here. I do believe that the world will have to see that we have to unite to solve the problems we face. We can do it! It is a matter of survival. Good piece showing how divided we are. ~ Geez.
