DESOLATE PLACES what I have learned [Richard for Joe]

DESOLATE PLACES

I’ve walked in desolate places
among souls dead to this world
seeking an end to their painful
delusions, trapped in their own fears,
and false perceptions, afraid of living,
terrified of dying.
where there is no light, seek the embers
of a fading flame.
where fear begins to paralyze, take one
step forward at a time; you will get there,
and when Death’s Shadow threatens,
give in with the acceptance of the end
of the human journey… and follow the
the footsteps of others.

Good one.

The true martyrs find release in death
for no remains of the mortal pain will be left
after the final agony of a soul's release
and they will embrace the true bliss
like a long-lost lover who finally return home
after being away for so long..

The unrepentant sinners, however,
wll face them in absolute fear,
for death ends their reign of power
which they've used to abuse the weak.
To them, death is the beginning
of the endless cycle of suffering.

So true, my friend !

u be u happy too

I just want to show him what his piece has inspired and that, my friend is a mark of respect. I'm surprised that you out of all people couldn't understand or see that. When you inspire another poet, it means more because you're a source to another's element in their work. I don't see him complaining about it, so why are you so worked up? This is NOT your place either.

Confused

hi b happy

I don't get you, you know. It feels like I'm telling him he is one of those I appreciated very much and you tell me to shut it. I mean, c'mon, you have your way of showing your appreciation and I have mine. Just because I don't follow your way, doesn't mean I'm walled. He understands that, so why can't you?

This is silly
WE are not alike,
so don't assume
we'll think alike.

Don't want to talk about this anymore, okay? You are my friend and I hate to be angry because I don't understand you.

Nobody can really understand the thoughts of those who knowingly are approaching that final door to the other side. I've known many friends and close relatives who suffered lingering deaths and I Still can only guess. But one thing I Am fairly sure of is that assuming a mantle of courage as well as feeling free to talk about it Seems to help. BTW excellent poetic prose.......stan

yes, indeed
