A CROWN OF THORNS

I have always sought to know
what cannot be known or seen
by the human mind
Man is blind to the signs
that tell of heaven and hell.
the Universe is mute
and its songs are not heard
while we are on this earth.
Man storms the heavens
seeking to bring down the Gates
of Truth where there is none.
foolish are we who try to open
locked doors.
tragic are we who wonder
at our last hour
and sad are we who only see
the thorns and not the flower.
